Nominations

Nominations for the U.S. Hockey Hall of Famem Class of 2024 are now closed. Nominations for the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2025 will be accepted beginning Jan. 1, 2025.

Nomination Process/Criteria

Those willing to substantiate the candidacy of an individual or team may do so each year from Jan. 1 through the end of February.

There is one criteria for nomination: Extraordinary contribution to hockey in the United States. Candidates must be American citizens (naturalized American citizens are valid candidates).

Nominations are valid for three years and those nominated may be re-nominated an unlimited number of times.

The U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Selection Committee typically  meets each year in late May/early June to consider the field of candidates and the new Class that is selected by the committee is publicly revealed in early September.

The U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Celebration, an event at which the new Class is formally enshrined into the Hall, typically takes place in late November/early December and the event moves around the country each year.
