Bruce Bennett

For more than 50 years, Bruce Bennett has been the preeminent photographer in hockey, chronicling the sport's greatest moments through his iconic imagery.

Based in Long Island, New York, Bennett has photographed more than 5,300 NHL regular-season and playoff games, including 45 Stanley Cup deciding contests. His decorated career has also included shooting six Olympic Winter Games, and more than 470 international games.

Bennett got his start in hockey photography shooting NHL contests at Madison Square Garden and Nassau Coliseum in 1974. Just two years later, Bennett shot his first Stanley Cup Final -- a matchup between the Philadelphia Flyers and Montreal Canadiens, and over the course of his illustrious career, has captured images in 58 different NHL venues.

His work has appeared in virtually every major hockey publication and broadcast, helping bring the beauty, intensity and emotion of the sport to millions of fans. 

Beyond his artistry, Bennett's tireless dedication to documenting hockey history has made him one of the most influential visual storytellers in the game's history.

Through his archive of more than 2.5 million images, Bennett has preserved the legacy of countless players, teams and championships, ensuring that the story of hockey in the U.S. is told with clarity, drama and passion.
