U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Dinner Set for Oct. 21 in Buffalo

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The 38th Annual United States Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner will take place on Thursday, October 21, on the floor of HSBC Arena in Buffalo, N.Y., it was announced today by USA Hockey.

"We're extremely pleased to bring the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Dinner to Buffalo, an area of our country steeped in hockey tradition," said Dave Ogrean, executive director of USA Hockey. "It's our intent to bring this event to as many parts of our country as possible, so that people can share in celebrating the pinnacle of accomplishment of our nation's hockey heroes."

"It's terrific that we're able to bring the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Dinner and Ceremony to Buffalo," said Larry Quinn, managing general partner of the Buffalo Sabres. "I know our community will embrace the event and we look forward to the announcement of the Class of 2010 later this week."

The U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2010 will be announced at 2 p.m. EDT on Thursday (July 22), via a media conference call and on www.USAHockey.com.

NOTES: The 2010 U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner marks the first time the event will be staged in Buffalo … Since USA Hockey assumed responsibility for the event in 2007, the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner has been held in Grand Forks, N. Dak. (2007), Denver, Colo. (2008) and Boston, Mass. (2009). Ticket information for the event in Buffalo will be forthcoming ... The U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame was founded in 1973. To date, there are 143 enshrined members in the Hall.
